To celebrate International Women’s Day, Professor Yoon-Kyoung Cho has been featured in Nature as an inspiring woman in science. Nominated by 2021 award winner Kiana Aran, Professor Cho was recognized for her groundbreaking contributions to microfluidics and lab-on-a-chip diagnostics, as well as her leadership in bridging academia and industry. Her dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive research environment continues to inspire the next generation of scientists.

Professor Cho has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to biomedical research, becoming a new member of the National Academy of Engineering of Korea (NAEK) in 2024.

Prof. Yoon-Kyoung Cho's research on a "Porous Gold Nanoparticle-Based Biosensor for Cancer Diagnosis" was selected as one of the 2023 Top 100 National R&D Achievements. In an online public vote, this innovation was recognized among the Top 10 Social Impact Solutions, drawing attention for its ability to enable rapid, on-site disease diagnosis using blood or urine.
