Prof. Yoon-Kyoung Cho has been selected for the “Advanced Bio Global Joint Research Center Project” by the Ministry of Science and ICT. Over the next three years, her team will receive 2 billion KRW in funding to develop a multiscale convergence system for optimized muscle injury treatment, in collaboration with the University of Tokyo and the National University of Singapore.

Elizabeth delivered an oral presentation on "Digital Profiling of Tumor Extracellular Vesicle-Associated RNAs Directly from Unprocessed Blood Plasma" at the µTAS Conference.

Prof. Cho presented "Lab-on-a-Chip Systems for Precision Medicine" at the Department of Bioengineering, UC San Diego, highlighting advancements in microfluidic technology for precision medicine applications.

Joonho has been awarded the NRF Doctoral Research Fellowship for his research on the ”role of extracellular vesicles from reactive astrocytes in glioblastoma”.

As a graduate of POSTECH's Chemical Engineering, Prof. Cho shares her experiences in academia and industry as part of the POSTECH Alumni Career Story series.

Teawon Son was recognized with the Excellence Research Award for his outstanding work on "Automated Hemolysis Analysis of Gold Nanoparticle" as part of the UNIST Biomedical Engineering Capstone Project.

Prof. Cho will deliver an invited talk titled "Digital Detection of Tumor-Derived EVs in Blood Plasma" under the session "Extracellular Vesicles for Biomedical Applications" at WBC

Dr. Mamata and Elizabeth joined the 2024 Spring KBCS in Gyeongju. Elizabeth earned the Outstanding Poster Award, showcasing her exceptional work and dedication.

Prof. Yoon-Kyoung Cho presented on "Lab-on-a-Disc" technology at the inaugural CD Microfluidics Conference in Mexico City, highlighting its impact on medical diagnostics. 

Prof. Yoon-Kyoung Cho shares her breakthrough in diagnosing prostate cancer with a single drop of blood using "lab-on-a-chip" technology. This innovation was named a 2023 Top 100 National R&D Achievement by public vote.

Professor Cho has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to biomedical research, becoming a new member of the National Academy of Engineering of Korea (NAEK) in 2024.

Prof. Yoon-Kyoung Cho's research on a "Porous Gold Nanoparticle-Based Biosensor for Cancer Diagnosis" was selected as one of the 2023 Top 100 National R&D Achievements. In an online public vote, this innovation was recognized among the Top 10 Social Impact Solutions, drawing attention for its ability to enable rapid, on-site disease diagnosis using blood or urine.
